Our Story

Three cousins, all bearing the proud Sinegal lineage that traces its roots back to the heart of Maurice, Louisiana, united their talents and passions to establish Louisiana Creole Culture, LLC.

It all began with an event titled "Let's Talk, but in French," a brainchild of Milton, aimed at reinvigorating Creole French in Lafayette, LA, hosted at the Culture Center. Fernest lent his creative prowess to craft alluring graphic designs, while Mac played a pivotal role as a financial backer and trusted advisor. The inaugural event exceeded all expectations, prompting Fernest and Mac to propose an annual recurrence, alongside the idea of hosting smaller monthly round-table discussions. However, Milton voiced his reluctance to simply follow someone else's path, highlighting the need for a unique identity. Fernest, in his characteristically assertive manner, proposed the idea of creating their own branded attire, an idea heartily seconded by Mac. Milton also brought to light the widespread misinformation about Louisiana Creole culture, a subject all three of them were intimately familiar with. In unison, they declared, "Let's set the record straight." And thus, Louisiana Creole Culture, LLC was born.

With Fernest's two-decade experience as a graphic designer, Mac's mastery of financial formulas and strategies, and Milton's accolade-winning portrait photography skills, the trio possessed a recipe for undeniable success. Mac had always been a staunch supporter of Fernest and Milton in their artistic endeavors, offering sage financial guidance and wise investment counsel. Fernest had mentored Milton, honing his Photoshop skills. Milton, on the other hand, was the driving force behind their marketing initiatives, with a history as an activist and serial entrepreneur with a strong background in marketing.

Their collective mission was to dispel the misconceptions surrounding Creole culture. Fernest set to work creating apparel that not only celebrated Creole pride but also served as a financial engine to support educational ventures related to Creole culture. Meanwhile, Milton orchestrated marketing campaigns and captured the essence of Creole culture through his photography. Mac, with his keen financial acumen, meticulously analyzed budgets and ensured every financial move was both precise and prudent. This harmonious blend of talents allowed Fernest and Milton to fully express themselves as artists, while Mac ensured the business thrived economically.
