Elliot hails from the vibrant town of Cecilia, nestled in the heart of Louisiana. His journey through academia led him to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he proudly attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. During his time at ULL, he honed his writing skills as a dedicated columnist and news contributor for The Vermillion.
Beyond his academic pursuits, Elliot is a passionate champion of LGBTQ+ rights. His commitment to this cause has been unwavering since 2015, when he first joined Louisiana Trans Advocates as a youthful 17-year-old. Not content with merely participating, he took the initiative to establish Nom Noir, a transformative fund aimed at assisting black transgender individuals in Louisiana with their name change processes.
While his activism keeps him busy, Elliot also finds solace and joy in the natural world, relishing moments spent immersed in its beauty. He's an ardent enthusiast of delectable cuisine, forever on the hunt for the next culinary delight. Above all, he treasures the company of friends, and knows how to savor life's simple pleasures.
